EXPERIENCE:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Monitor student behavior and enforce school rules related to student code of conduct Resolve conflict or confrontation between students and report disturbances to immediate supervisor Investigate complaints disturbances or violations Control traffic and parking on campus grounds Register student vehicles and maintain accurate records of registration Document record and report vandalism and car accidents and prepare activity reports for theft Assist law enforcement personnel as needed Give directions or escort students authorized visitors disruptive individuals or cargo to designated locations Monitor entrance or exit of persons as needed Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and properties and prevent passage of prohibited articles into school areas Attend extra-curricular activities and graduation to provide student supervision when necessary Maintain a good working relationship and professional demeanor with security personnel DISD staff students parents and community members Monitor alarm system to detect emergencies and notify police fire department or other appropriate authority of any situation requiring immediate attention Warn persons of minor infractions or violations and apprehend or evict violators from premises using force when necessary Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage theft presence of unauthorized persons or unusual occurrences Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position | |

Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Travel throughout the district is integral to this job. A remote working environment /alternate work arrangement is not an option for campus-based employees/campus-based positions because regular and punctual attendance at the worksite and performing all duties at the worksite are essential job duties for all campus-based personnel. | |
