QC Conveyors is searching for aQuality Technicianresponsible for ensuring that equipment is compliant to customer specifications prior to shipment. They will work directly with production engineering shipping material handling and the service department to plan and execute the inspection process in accordance with customer ship dates. This role will be responsible for working hours required to meet customer deadlines requiring overtime as necessary. They will work directly with the incoming supply department to maintain inspection of incoming parts along with maintaining the RMA process. They are responsible for working in a safe manner and maintaining a clean production work area. This role will work directly with all departments and personnel as required to meet the internal and customer quality requirements.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following other duties as assigned.

  • Develop and utilize manufacturing process instructions (standardized work) and inspection verification sheets.
  • Promotes and participates in continual improvement within the department and the organization
  • Must have the ability to examine items produced to determine if items meet specifications
  • Maintains working collaborative relationships with all departments and is focused on producing excellent products safely and on time.
  • Applies and maintains quality systems requirements and standards for development and manufacturing of products as well as data collection techniques and systems
  • Utilizes corrective action forms and processes to identify root cause of issues and determine the appropriate action
  • Utilizes established methods for process control process improvement testing and inspection
  • Promotes and executes quality standards inspection processes test methodology quality plans documents and reports
  • Reports to management on quality issues trends and continuous improvement opportunities

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • EDUCATION: High school education associates degree preferred
  • EXPERIENCE: 3 years in quality responsibilities in a manufacturing environment
  • ERP/MRP systems experience or a willingness & capability to learn new computer software programs
  • Knowledge of production and manufacturing processes for material handling equipment
  • Willingness to learn and participate in lean manufacturing techniques

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Factory Shop Floor
  • Observes safety and security procedures; Uses equipment and materials properly; Reports potentially unsafe conditions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
