Description

The purpose of this programme is to offer unemployed CUT (diploma) graduates with no relevant work experience the opportunity to obtain practical workplace exposure and experience. Only graduates who are not employed and have not benefited from any SETA funded Internship opportunity will qualify for the programme.

An affidavit stating that you are unemployed and have not participated in any SETA funding internship.

Duties and responsibilities:
The intern will be placed within various departments across the University of the Free State and will be required to perform duties aligned with the Diploma in Office Administration. Duties will vary depending on placement but will generally include the following:

Provide general administrative support in line with departmental operational requirements.
Perform office administration tasks in accordance with established policies procedures and service standards.
Assist with document management including filing record keeping data capturing and maintaining administrative systems.
Support meeting coordination activities including scheduling preparation of documentation minute-taking and follow-up actions.
Assist with correspondence management including drafting formatting and distributing internal and external communications.
Use office technology and information systems effectively including MS Office applications and institutional systems.
Support customer service and stakeholder interaction by responding to routine enquiries and directing requests appropriately.
Assist with basic reporting tracking of information and maintenance of administrative records.
Apply organisational time management and professional communication skills in a structured work environment.
Comply with institutional policies confidentiality requirements and workplace ethics.
Participate in workplace learning activities coaching and monitoring as part of the internship and SETA requirements.

Inherent requirements:
A diploma on NQF Level 6 in Office Administration obtained from the CUT (attach proof).
The applicant should not be studying full-time.
Must be a South African Citizen or permanent resident.
Currently unemployed (attach an affidavit).
Must not have participated in an internship before or currently be participating in an existing learnership/internship programme (attach an affidavit).
The applicant should not have any previous formal work experience.
The applicant must be willing to sign a learnership/internship agreement with UFS.
The applicant must be available for a period of 1 year to participate in the learnership/internship.

The salary is a fixed amount of R 5000.00 per month.
