Course: EAST 220 001 First Level Korean (9 credits)
Course details: Introduction to the basic structures of the standard Korean language. The aim of this course is to give students a basic knowledge of the Korean language. Special emphasis is put on handling everyday conversation reading and writing short texts and mastering basic grammar rules.

This is a 9 credit course to be co-taught by two Course Lecturers.
Each course lecturer will teach 4.5 credits. Please note that this course is taught daily (Monday to Friday for 2.5 months) at 4 hours per day.

Teaching Qualification Requirements
Education:
M.A. in Linguistics applied Linguistics and/or foreign language education.
Experience:
Teaching Korean as an instructor at the college level as well as interest in upper-level instruction in translation.
Other:
Must be able to teach Korean language at the introductory level and possess native or near-native fluency in Korean with an excellent command of English. This course may be co-taught.

a) preparation of the Course and Course plan;
b) delivery of the Course;
c) evaluation of students;
d) submitting to the University a report on student attendance and student grades;

g) meeting with students being available to answer questions and give advice concerning Course content and requirements;
