Job Summary

Job Title: Legal Administarvtive Assistant

Department/Group: Labor & Employment

Reports to: Department Head

FLSA Type: Non-Exempt

Hours: 40 hours plus; 9:00 am 6:00 pm

Office Attendance: Hybrid;
Mandatory 3 days per week inclusive of Monday; additional days in office as required by the firm or based on client needs

Years of Experience: 2-5 Years

Compensation: 65000 - 70000

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Legal Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and legal support to the Labor & Employment Partner and practice group. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare revise and format legal documents.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings hearings arbitrations and conference calls.
  • Maintain and organize electronic and physical files.
  • Proofread documents for accuracy grammar and formatting consistency.
  • Handle incoming calls screen inquiries and communicate professionally with colleagues and clients.
  • Track deadlines timelines dates and agency response requirements.
  • Process attorney time entries expense reports and assist with billingrelated tasks.
  • Provide general administrative support and assist with special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

The below listed qualifications and experience are required to perform this job:

  • 25 years of experience as a Legal Assistant (executive support) or Administrative Assistant in a law firm preferably in labor employment or litigation.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Outlook Excel) and willingness to learn new software applications.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail organization and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
  • Selfmotivated adaptable and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Ability to meet deadlines manage shifting priorities and maintain professionalism in a fastpaced environment.
