Eaglecrest is looking to fill one (1) vacancy in our Mechanic I job class.
We are looking for a journey level mechanic with a ski lift focus to join our Eaglecrest Team.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking to fill one journey level mechanical position for vehicle maintenance and repair needs. The ideal candidate will have a wide range of experience with diesel engines and hydraulic powered equipment. Previous experience in other like industries that deal with low voltage and mechanical systems is preferred. A willingness to expand knowledge with on-the-job training and fill gaps where needed is important. Reliable transportation is a must.

Eaglecrest is embarking on a major mountain expansion with the installation of a new Gondola. This is an opportunity to become an integral part of the team executing a legacy project on the ground floor.
WORKING HOURS AND LOCATION
Typical work week is Wednesday through Sunday 7:00am to 4:00pm during the winter season. Options to work a flex schedule in the summer are present. Working holidays and weekends is mandatory.Typical Responsibilities
Under general supervision this position is responsible for independently performing routine and complex maintenance and repair of ski area equipment and buildings. This level performs lead duties including assigning daily tasks providing training giving instructions and checking lower-level Mechanic addition the incumbent may make maintenance or repair decisions when the Director of Mountain Operations is absent. Eaglecrest has a wide array of heavy equipment from excavators dump trucks and road graders to snowcats snowmobiles and 4-wheelers. You will get exposure to many different pieces of equipment. Most of the equipment is non-tier 4 equipment except our 2018 Pisten Bully 400 winch cat.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience:
Two (2) years of experience in automotive/mechanical maintenance.
Substitution:
Post-secondary education or technical training in automotive work may be substituted for the required experience on the basis of 125 clock hours of instruction for one month of experience up to a maximum of twelve months.
Other:
Must provide and maintain own set of hand tools.
License:
A valid drivers license at time of appointment and for continued employment.
