We have five sites providing specialist education adult day services residential care and independent supported living to our service users. Our sites are based in Forest Hall Killingworth Jesmond Newcastle City Centre and North Shields.

The Role

We are looking to appoint a Senior Support Worker on a temporary basis for 12 months to join the Independent Supported Living team and provide excellent support. You willsupport the Registered Manager in delivering exceptional person-centred care creating a safe empowering and uplifting environment for adults with physical and/or learning disabilities while proudly meeting CQC guidance and legislative standards. You will be required to lead shifts providing support and supervision toSupport Workers helping them grow reflect and perform at their best.

Our Independent Supported Living schemes are home for individuals with learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities who require support with everyday living tasks cooking cleaning organising social activities support to health appointments and to live as independently as possible. Our Independent Living includes one service with 10 bungalows and one three bedroom house shared by two individuals.

You will need to be enthusiastic with a positive outlook on life and a real desire to help people achieve their goals and reach their full potential. A great team player who is flexible organised and has the skills to work with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the people we support receive the highest level of care is required. Being able to adapt and respond to evolving situations with a person-centred approach is essential for an independent living scheme.

As this is a 24/7 service you must be fully flexible to work across days and occasional nights.
