Position Overview

The Elementary Technology / Computer Teacher at Spero Upper Elementary provides engaging standards-aligned instruction in technology and computer science to students in grades 25. This role is ideal for an educator who is creative flexible and excited to design meaningful learning experiences aligned to the Oklahoma Academic Standards while supporting the broader academic and cultural goals of the school.

In addition to instruction this role supports the effective use of student technology and contributes to schoolwide systems student supports and campus culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging technology and computer instruction aligned to the Oklahoma Academic Standards for grades 25 building students digital literacy problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Plan and implement differentiated lessons that support diverse learning needs and reinforce core academic content when appropriate.
  • Support day-to-day student technology use including basic troubleshooting of devices applications and instructional platforms.
  • Collaborate with grade-level teams interventionists and school leaders to support academic interventions enrichment and schoolwide instructional goals.
  • Model and reinforce positive student culture routines and responsible digital citizenship.
  • Contribute to campus systems that promote effective and efficient technology use across the school.
  • Participate actively in professional learning staff collaboration and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Build strong positive relationships with students families and colleagues while upholding Santa Fe Souths mission and values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required; teaching certification preferred (or eligibility/willingness to obtain).
  • Experience teaching elementary-aged students strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn Oklahoma Academic Standards related to technology and computer science.
  • Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly within a team-oriented school environment.
  • Commitment to high expectations for student achievement and behavior.
