Job Summary

Introduction

well-established construction and engineering contractor is currently involved in the large-scale refurbishment of Durbans iconic World Cup stadium and seeks to appoint an experiencedQuantity Surveyorto join the project team.This is a 12-month fixed term contract.

The successful candidate will be actively involved in thestructural and painting aspectsof this high-profile refurbishment project and will play a key role in commercial management cost control and project support on site.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in one of the following:
- BSc Quantity Surveying
- BTech Quantity Surveying
- BTech Construction Management (or similar)
- Recognized Project Management Degree or Diploma
Postgraduate qualifications will be advantageous
Registration with a professional body is advantageous
Minimum of5 years experiencein the construction industry preferred
Strong knowledge of cost management contracts variations and site-based QS functions
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced high-value project environment
