Job Summary:
The Manager Events & Rentals leads the planning and execution of all CFC events while overseeing facility rentals as a key revenue stream. This role manages the Coordinator Events & Rentals along with volunteers interns external vendors and partners to support donor and partner relations across the organization. The position combines strategic planning with hands-on delivery to ensure high-quality events and sustainable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Events Management
- Plan manage and execute all CFC signature events industry events public programs and community initiatives including CFC Homecoming Gala Showcases In Conversation screenings and festivals
- Support the Director Development and Executive Lead Creative Impact with donor partner and alumni engagement
- Develop event concepts and oversee delivery from planning through post-event reporting
- Oversight of event rentals vendors suppliers and service providers
- Ensure cross-departmental initiatives involving Marketing & Communications
Rentals & Revenue Generation
- Lead and implement the CFC facility rental strategy in collaboration with senior stakeholders
- Secure and manage external rentals including film/TV shoots corporate events weddings and photography
- Serve as the key on-site contact for all external rentals managing logistics invoicing and internal coordination
- Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities through rentals partnerships and location shoots
- Evaluate rental opportunities against operational capacity and the organizational calendar
Volunteers & Interns
- Lead the recruitment onboarding training scheduling and management of the volunteers and interns for major events
- Ensure accurate tracking of volunteer hours and report DIK values to Finance
Contributors Donors & Partners
- Support the sourcing and stewardship of cash and in-kind contributors
- Manage auctions and raffles including prize procurement fulfillment and reporting
- Track partner benefits and deliverables and follow up as required
- Research new funding leads and support proposals presentations and stewardship materials
- Assist senior staff with partner and donor pitches
Administration & Reporting
- Overall responsibility for event and rental budgets expenses invoices and revenue tracking
- Prepare and manage agreements contracts invoices and tax receipts related to events partnerships and rentals
- Work with Legal Counsel to maintain standard rental agreements
- Lead post-event reporting analysis and reconciliation with Finance and Creative Impact
- Ensure that thank-you communications are prepared for sponsors partners and volunteers in a timely manner
- Oversee event invitations and communications through Salesforce (CRM)
- Maintain accurate Salesforce records for funders vendors contributors volunteers and renters
- Add new leads and update sponsorships and donations post-event
- Attend bi-weekly Event Space meetings
- Additional administration and reporting as determined by business needs
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- 3 years of related events work experience
- Self-starter with strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to plan and execute projects within deadlines and budgets
- A problem solver and comfortable working under pressure
- Ability to manage many moving parts with close attention to detail
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook Teams and PowerPoint) and Salesforce
- Previous experience training and managing volunteers
