We are seeking a highly experienced Middleware Support Engineer to serve as a technical Support Personnel across enterprise middleware platforms including IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) JBoss EAP Apache Tomcat Apache HTTP Server and IBM MQ. This role requires advanced troubleshooting skills deep architectural understanding and the ability to guide technical teams during complex incidents system enhancements and large-scale deployments.
Is this role right for you In this role you will:
- Act as the primary support for middleware technologiesWebSphere JBoss Tomcat Apache IBM MQ.
- Review validate and optimize architecture designs and configurations.
- Lead major incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Provide technical assistance to junior and intermediate engineers.
- Support complex clustered environments including WAS ND and MQ HA.
- Oversee deployment pipelines and middleware-integrated CI/CD processes.
- Conduct deep log analysis (JVM heap dumps MQ logs HTTP logs).
- Drive performance optimizations and automation.
- Enhance monitoring via Dynatrace and Splunk.
- Ensure compliance security (TLS/SSL certs) and audit readiness.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role Wed love to work with you if you have:
- 5 8 years of middleware administration experience.
- Deep expertise in WebSphere JBoss EAP Tomcat Apache IBM MQ.
- Strong Linux/UNIX background with scripting skills.
- Experience resolving high-severity incidents.
- Strong understanding of JVM internals MQ flows load balancers and certificates.
- Strong RHEL and Unix based OS experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of microservices and API gateway architecture is an asset.
- Monitoring platforms (Dynatrace Splunk) experience is an asset.
- Identity integration (LDAP AD SAML OAuth). Is an asset.
- Nice to have ITIL experience.
