Pay Rate: $115.00 -$125.00 per hour
Fortuna is seeking a Senior MuleSoft Developer with deep expertise in real-time event-driven integrations to support a high-impact RFP proposal. This role is streaming-first focused on Kafka event-driven APIs and asynchronous messaging - not batch integrations
This position will play a critical role in designing and delivering scalable resilient MuleSoft solutions aligned to client and RFP requirements.

What Youll Do
Design develop and support real-time event-driven integrations using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
Build and expose RESTful and event-based APIs for near real-time data exchange
Implement event streaming patterns using Kafka JMS and/or cloud-native messaging services
Develop Mule applications leveraging asynchronous processing queues topics and pub/sub models
Apply API-led connectivity across System Process and Experience layers
Configure and manage Anypoint MQ connectors and streaming integrations
Ensure high availability performance and fault tolerance of integrations
Collaborate with architects data teams and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs
Support CI/CD pipelines version control and automated deployments
Monitor troubleshoot and optimize integrations in production environments
Author and maintain technical documentation interface specifications and integration standards
What Youll Bring
7 years of integration development experience including 5 years with MuleSoft
Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (API Manager Runtime Manager Anypoint Studio)
Proven success delivering event-driven and real-time integration architectures
Experience with event streaming technologies (Kafka JMS cloud messaging services)
Deep understanding of asynchronous messaging and pub/sub patterns
Experience designing secure scalable REST APIs and event-based services
Familiarity with CI/CD Git-based version control and DevOps practices
Cloud experience supporting integrations (AWS Azure or GCP)
Strong troubleshooting performance tuning and production support skills
Ability to operate effectively in regulated RFP-driven environments
Public sector or large-enterprise integration experience preferred
