The role
Reporting to the General Manger NT the Facilities & Assets Coordinator is responsible for supporting the daily operations and maintenance of the organisations facilities assets & equipment. This role ensures that all facilities are safe functional and well-maintained by coordinating maintenance requests vendor services project management and logistics. The Facilities & Assets Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for internal staff and external service providers.
Other key responsibilities include:
Maintain properties assets & equipment located across Darwin Katherine & Nhulunbuy NT (travel required).
Manage/carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on properties assets & equipment.
Manage/carry out frequent inspections & audits on properties assets & equipment.
Manage compliance and safe use of properties assets & equipment.
Maintain up to date information on property assets & equipment in asset system.
Be the main point of contact for crews contractors & suppliers relating to properties & assets.
Manage projects meetings reports & budgets.
Manage rosters for cars & accommodation and coordinate travel arrangements for interstate crew.
Create issue & record purchase orders and assist with accounts processing.
Assist the General Manager & Operations Manager with duties where required.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
A sound knowledge of First Nations culture society and kinship networks.
Equipment/facility maintenance experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong time management skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and ensure effective completion of tasks within deadlines.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan prioritise problem solve monitor and evaluate all maintenance and logistical related activities.
Team orientated and a can-do attitude.
High attention to detail and proven ability to work unsupervised.
Ability to be flexible with hours of work.
Microsoft office suite of software skills.
A current Drivers Licence
The following will be highly regarded:
Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
Trade qualifications in a related field eg. green keeping electrical plumbing building.
Experience working for a not-for-profit especially aeromedical.
