Position Summary:
Dufferin Asphalt a CRH Company is seeking a Plant Operator (Batcher). This role is key to ensuring safe efficient and high-quality asphalt production while supporting daily plant operations and delivering excellent service to our customers.
Responsibliies:
- Operate plant controls to produce hot-mix asphalt according to specifications
- Assist with daily plant operations maintenance and repairs
- Provide timely and professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders skid steers and trucks
- Comply with Environmental Health & Safety policies and identify potential hazards
- Travel to other plant locations as required by production schedules
Requirements:
- Previous experience batching in a constructions materials environment (concrete asphalt pre-cast or aggregates) or asphalt plant operations preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights weekends and holidays
- Strong communication skills and mechanical aptitude
- Basic computer skills and ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Valid G-class drivers license
- Welding experience is an asset
- Flexibility to travel to support operational needs
