Statistical Analysis Intern

Job Description:

The Statistical Analysis Intern will learn about Paratransit operations contract management practices and the role of statistical data in evaluation of contractor performance. Essential functions include:

1. Assisting with Suburban Paratransit Operations using statistical analysis.
2. Tracking on-time performance and identifying trends throughout the region with suburban carriers.
3. Analyzing trip denials and analyzing trip bookings for optimization.
4. Testing call center phone line and On Demand phone numbers for quality control.
5. Assisting with other administrative tasks as needed.

Internship Duration:

Monday June 1 2026 Friday August 14 2026

Hours Per Week:

Up to 37.5 Hours Per Week

Rate of Pay:

$20/hr

Chicago Paratransit Office 547 W. Jackson 8^th Floor Chicago IL 60661

Working Conditions:

This position is based in an office setting with standard office equipment. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:00pm. However the business needs of Pace may result in work schedules outside the typical hours/workdays.

This position is not eligible for hybrid or remote telecommuting.

Qualifications

Age:

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Must be currently enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year accredited college or university and working towards a degree in Business Statistics Math Economics or other related field.

Proficiencies:

Must demonstrate working knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite applications. Customer service experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods of time frequently stand and/or walk within an office environment lift and carry up to 25lbs use a keyboard and type for prolonged periods.
