The Role

AsTerminalPlanningManager youare responsible fordeveloping operational strategies that transform the business to become safer more efficient customercentricand profitable.

  • Team:You lead a team of3-4 Assistant Managers.

  • Reporting:You report to theStrategy and Planning Director.

  • Strategy:Shape the terminals competitive position by designing forwardlooking solutions that expand safe berth and yard capacity while adapting to evolving market demands. Partner across functions to unlock the full value of operational technologies and information systems ensuring the terminal delivers reliable datadriven and bestinclass service to its customers.

What will you do

  • Maintain safety and environmental policies.
  • Lead and coordinate high-volume terminal operations while overseeing 1.4M annual container lifts and 12 weekly vessel calls through advanced planning.
  • Areaof scope includesetting appointment strategy berth planning capacity planning managing ocean carrier SLAs andoptimizingterminal yard layout.
  • Strengthen customer relationshipsby leading operational review meetings toalign onperformance address service requirements share improvements and reinforce long-term partnership value.
  • Drive operational strategy and continuous improvementby executing short- and long-term plans that integrate safety efficiency and technology optimization across all areas.
  • Govern quality and process managementbymaintainingstandardized documentation process maps validations and performance evaluations to sustain and elevate operations.
  • Developmidtolongtermoperational plansusing TOS-driven insights and data analytics to maximize equipmentutilizationeliminatewaste and advance productivity through annual Kaizen initiatives.
  • Model and simulate operational scenariosusing historical data and operational parameters to optimize assetutilization increase throughput and reduce costs in coordination with global APMT teams.
  • Provide hands-onsafetyfocusedleadershipto ensure policy-compliant productive workforce practices and a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
  • Grow operational leadership talentby mentoring Assistant Operations Managers and coordinating development opportunities that build strong capability and a sustainable pipeline.

What are we looking for

  • Education:Arelevantbachelorsdegree is preferred.

  • Experience:5years of relevant experience inplanning andpeopleleadership(port equipment experience is a plus).

  • Leadership:An inspiring connector with a can-do mentality andstrong communicationskills.Demonstratesa strongself-initiative and motivation.

  • Skills:Technical andoperational skillsanalytical andcontinuous ImprovementStrong communicationand collaboration skills and organizational skills.

Able to drive through and navigate the Terminal and may need to travel across the US & Canada and occasionally overseas. Work is occasionallyoutdoors on Terminal. While performing the duties of this job the employee may have to withstand exposure to outdoor/adverse working conditions. Must be able to work variable shifts including evenings& weekendswhen necessary.
