About Corewell Health Wayne Hospital

Corewell Health Wayne Hospital opened its doors to western Wayne communities in 1957. This full-service hospital is the only hospital in the Wayne Westland Garden City Canton Inkster and Romulus area verified by the American College of Surgeons as a Level III Trauma Center. The hospital has a longstanding partnership with Detroit Metropolitan Airport and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to handle a wide variety of health and communicable disease concerns including mass trauma and emergency patients.

Scope of work

Under the direction of the site designate leader provides coordination and acts as a resource for staff involved in general radiology services. Assigns and monitors the quality and quantity of workflow to ensure timely completion of exams. Ensures that prescribed diagnostic procedures are performed according to departmental policies and imaging standards. Performs diagnostic images and other related duties as necessary including student clinical instruction and new employee training as the absence of the site designate leader functions as the department representative. Follows Beaumont philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

Qualifications

• Required Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program.
• 3 - 5 years clinical staff technologist experience preferred not required.

• CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required
• CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
