Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SSIS/SSRS Lead Developer to lead the technical discovery and assessment of existing SQL Server environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing current database systems identifying dependencies and providing recommendations for modernization and migration strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the technical discovery and assessment of existing SQL Server environments
Perform a comprehensive inventory of SQL Server assets including:
Databases
SSIS packages
SSRS reports
SQL Agent jobs
Stored procedures views and functions
Conduct dependency mapping and evaluate database artifacts to understand functional roles and business value
Analyze SSIS workloads to identify patterns dependencies and complexity
Classify workloads into categories suitable for modernization migration or retirement
Review SSRS reporting assets and provide recommendations for modernization or migration
Utilize AI-assisted accelerator tools to document findings and generate technical assessments
Produce deliverables including:
Dependency analysis
Modernization candidates
Technical risks
Support the overall migration strategy and modernization roadmap
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience in SQL Server Administration
Expertise in SSIS Development and Architecture
Hands-on experience with SSRS Reporting Architecture
Proficiency in SQL Server Performance Tuning and Optimization
Experience in Database Migration and Modernization
Strong T-SQL Development skills
Expertise in Data Integration / ETL Architecture
Experience in Dependency Mapping and System Analysis
Knowledge of Power BI Reporting
Experience working with large enterprise SQL environments
Familiarity with Azure Data Platform
Exposure to AI-assisted analysis or automation tools
