Responsibilities
Directs and oversees operations of registration activities for multiple patient types and multiple shifts of employees within the Pre-Registration department. Assists the Operations Coordinator and Manager in the overall direction and control of the pre-registration functions operations and personnel. Responsible for ensuring standards for quality and productivity are met. Works closely with Patient Access to coordinate activities such as registration and admissions.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
1. Associates degree and thirty-six (36) months clerical customer service insurance registration or call center experience in a healthcare setting. OR 2. High school diploma or equivalent and five (5) years registration experience OR Five (5) years clerical customer service insurance registration or call center experience in a healthcare setting two (2) of which must have been in a supervisory capacity. 3. Ability to train and direct employees. 4. Ability to work independently. 5. Demonstrated knowledge of billing registration insurance verification and collection procedures and a general knowledge of computers and computer systems. 6.
Preferred:
Bachelors degree and previous supervisory experience
