WHAT DOES A MEDIA SUPERVISOR DO
The Media Supervisor is a critical component of the Media Team being the internal go-to person for strategy across Digital and Traditional channels as well as directly responsible for the day-to-day campaign management. This person has clear communication skills and is a proficient multi-tasker. The Media Supervisor will report to the Media Director.
- Manage media planners and positions below who may be called upon to assist in the creation execution and management of media campaigns under their direction
- Provide thought leadership and guidance to the media team and internal media departments
- Maintain a responsive professional working relationship with clients vendors and internal agency staff
- Must stay abreast of new and emerging technologies and execution opportunities by providing agency POVs as they relate to client objectives on a regular basis
- Will be called upon for new business and other internal educational opportunities
- Be responsible for the overall success of the accounts media campaign.
- Manage and mentor direct report(s) serving as a strong coach and fostering ongoing career development and growth.
- Own performance management and evaluation for direct report(s) including feedback goal alignment and development planning.
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity equity and inclusion through continuous development modeling inclusive behaviors and proactively managing bias.
- All other duties as assigned
EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:
- Travel: Less than 10%. Some travel may be required for meeting with clients stakeholders or off-site personnel/management
- Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week. Overtime and/or weekend/evening hours may be required to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications :
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Bachelors degree in marketing advertising media studies or communications
- 4-6 years of experience in media planning buying and/or strategy
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Deep understanding of all digital media channels; specifically how they relate to the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proficiency in all systems that relate to launching a media campaign including Google DCM and Mediaocean/Prisma.
- Proficiency in Comscore Nielsen/NetRatings Kantar Media Pathmatics MRI/Simmons MediaRadar
- Proven ability to analyze media performance provide insights and optimization recommendations.
- Should be a self-starter a team player and open to new and emerging technologies and media-buying strategies.
- Detail-oriented
- Able to multitask and be a team player in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products especially PowerPoint and Excel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Digital media background specifically in the pharmaceutical industry
