We are currently looking for a Director of Nursing - DON to lead our team and ensure we are offering the best standard of care to our Residents.
Responsibilities
Conduct audits as directed by the management team or other authorised authorities to ensure compliance and quality standards.
Create document and track KPIs based on objectives set during management team meetings.
Serve as the official point of contact for handling compliments and complaints ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
Act as the officer in charge of investigations including any reported safeguarding issues maintaining confidentiality and adherence to policy.
Oversee the administration and organisation of the nursing home ensuring smooth operational functioning.
Monitor and review daily work routines and systems implementing improvements as required.
Maintain active engagement with management and operations staff supporting collaboration and effective communication across teams
Requirements
Must be a Registered Nurse with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
Minimum of three years post-registration experience in the care of the older person
At least three years nursing management experience preferably in a nursing home or long-term care setting
Hold a minimum Level 8 qualification (Ordinary Bachelors Degree or higher) in Nursing or a related healthcare field
A postgraduate qualification in Nursing Management Gerontology Healthcare Leadership or Healthcare Management is strongly preferred
Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills
Demonstrated empathy integrity and respect in all professional interactions
Confident in leading safeguarding processes complaints handling and incident investigations
