Are you a passionate and experienced leader in microbiology looking for a key leadership role We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our Quality Control (QC) department and make a real this position you will guide our QC Microbiology team helping us bring innovative oncology treatments to patients around the world.

Bring energy knowledge innovation to carry out the following:

  • Lead and Inspire: Guide coach and mentor a talented QC Microbiology team. You will foster a diverse and inclusive culture where everyone can thrive and grow their careers.
  • Drive Excellence: Oversee all microbiological testing for our manufacturing processes including in-process release and stability testing. This includes techniques like bioburden endotoxin environmental monitoring and water for injection (WFI) testing.
  • Shape Our Future: Help build a modern tech-enabled laboratory. You will champion continuous improvement explore new technologies and implement efficient systems to enhance our operations.
  • Collaborate and Solve: Work with teams across the site and our global network to solve problems and build our testing capabilities. You will lead investigations identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Uphold Quality: Represent the QC department during regulatory and internal inspections ensuring our commitment to the highest quality standards.

What skills you will need:

In order to excel in this role you will more than likely have:

  • A degree or higher in Microbiology Science Engineering or a related field.
  • Significant professional experience (at least 10 years) with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.
  • A strong working knowledge of the biotech industry particularly in QC operations and regulatory requirements.
  • The expertise to mentor your team on the microbiological methods used at our site.
  • A passion for building inclusive teams and working effectively with people from all backgrounds.
