We value mechanically inclined safety-focused individuals who can work independently and adapt quickly to changing priorities. While prior aggregate industry experience is preferred we are open to training highly skilled candidates from other industries.
Key Skills & Responsibilities
Equipment Operation Skills
- Operate a front-end loader to feed the aggregate processing plant.
- Perform pre-shift inspections and daily equipment safety checks.
- Occasionally operate a programmable logic controller (PLC) system for plant processes.
Mechanical & Maintenance Skills
- Perform routine maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on plant equipment.
- Replace or repair conveyor systems screens and other mechanical components.
- Fabricate and weld parts as needed.
- Safely operate various power and hand tools including cutting tools.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
Workplace & Safety Skills
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and operational procedures.
- Identify and communicate potential hazards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma GED or equivalent.
- Valid drivers license.
- Previous heavy equipment operating experience (preferred).
- Mechanical aptitude with proven repair/maintenance skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet production goals.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in outdoor conditions including extreme weather.
- Ability to climb stairs/ladders up to 24 feet.
- Flexible schedule with availability for overtime and weekends if needed.
