Job Overview:
- We are reaching out with an excellent new opportunity for an experienced Senior Threat Analyst (Night Shift) supporting the cybersecurity operations of the City of New York.
- This position plays a key role in protecting the citys critical digital infrastructure and public services from emerging cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze security events and alerts in real time.
- Identify investigate and mitigate potential cyber threats.
- Work with SOC leadership to develop and refine operational playbooks.
- Lead and mentor junior analysts in incident response procedures.
- Interface with internal teams agencies and vendors to coordinate threat management.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Threat Management SOC or Incident Response.
- Proven leadership ability in SOC operations (mentoring analysts shift management escalation handling).
- Strong technical expertise with SIEM IDS/IPS EDR and threat detection tools.
- Excellent communication skills and the flexibility to work night weekend and holiday shifts.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficient in malware analysis threat hunting and NetFlow/log analysis.
- Strong foundational understanding of cybersecurity and privacy principles.
