The role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing & Business Development Senior Executive to join our M&BD Team.
Be a key source of knowledge within M&BD team about the work our FM team does The individual in this role must develop good knowledge about the work offered by our FM practice group (should learn about our capabilities in each of the FM sub-groups: Real Estate SFD DCM Tax FS Reg FS Funds and Banking) in order to ensure events and marketing are relevant to the teams.
Briefing marketing activity into the M&BD Hub (Hub) /undertaking ad hoc marketing activity work closely with the Hub team monitoring and reviewing and providing feedback on output; process quick changes to marketing collateral (where sending to Hub will take longer); collaborate with Hub on event logistics.

What will you do:
Profile-raising working with PR digital and events leads to effectively action opportunities to raise our profile in the areas of law covered by the FM IPG including the development and maintenance of creative content and collateral.
Support development of thought leadership campaigns and assist senior campaigns and strategic projects manager in delivering each campaign through the FM IPG.
Reporting prepare and deliver high-level updates for Practices & Markets and Sector teams Client Managers Campaigns Lead regional team and others in the business on key trends and opportunities contribute to brainstorming discussions on how we can develop the opportunities highlighted.
Business planning and budget management be very familiar with the FM IPG BD plan and related budget; work with the FM practice groups heads to plan event and marketing activities and ensure all activities are done to budget. Ensure correct budget sign-off procedures are followed for unplanned activities
CRM be familiar with InterAction briefing tasks into the M&BD Hub where appropriate and completing tasks where more efficient to do so.
Website and intranet updates ensuring all website and intranet content for the FM IPG is kept up to date briefing tasks into the M&BD Hub where appropriate.
Directory submissions work where required on directory submissions for FM practice groups including creating first draft liaising with fee/earners submitting to the legal directories and follow-up on interviews during the research period and results.
Events coordinate and execute FM events hosted by the firm or with the participation of third parties.
New Partner integration: Ensure seamless integration of new Partners into the CoComm IPG. Gather insights from new Partners regarding our reputation and competitive positioning as well as insights into successful approaches by other firms.
Cross-sector collaboration: Liaise with sector and regional teams to understand the firms sectors expertise and ensure international cooperation and alignment with the IPGs plan.
Client development: Work with the Client Programme team and Client Partners to ensure two way alignment between our most important clients and the work of the FM IPG. This includes driving the capture of Client Listening feedback.
Firmwide initiatives: Support the M&BD Leadership Team in certain firmwide M&BD activities. This may involve taking a leadership role in complex projects extending beyond core IPG activities that require the involvement of M&BD Senior Managers.
FM budget management: Oversee all M&BD activities to ensure strategic alignment. Allocate budgets for activities that support the plan and monitor spending against these allocations. Challenge any unplanned expenditures and ensure they have a valid business case.
What we are looking for:
Minimum of 3 years marketing / business development experience (or the equivalent of) preferably in a professional services environment.
Professional marketing qualification (CIM diploma or equivalent) is desirable.
Hands-on self-starter with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
Advanced client development skills and knowledge.
Experience of managing motivating and leading large teams.
Comfortable with working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Solution oriented.
Commercially driven.
Builds and maintains positive relationships with a variety of different individuals at different levels of seniority.
Supports new opportunities and practices within the role.
A strong team player.
Able to cross sell and develop relationships within the organisation and with clients and suppliers.
Able to manage budgets effectively and good knowledge of Excel.
Able to lead on pitching (including large scale panel RFPs).
Able to challenge where required and provide advice to colleagues on the best way to achieve results.
Familiar with CRM systems digital platforms document management systems intranets website etc.
Career Level:
The career level assigned to this role is level 3. The career level framework provides a formal structure for the business services functions at the firm. The framework which ranges from level 1 to level 7 clearly defines the responsibilities skills and competencies required at each level.
