Job Summary

  • Lead and supervise a team of accountants providing guidance performance feedback and professional development opportunities
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Ensure timely and accurate closing of books reconciliations and audit readiness across all business units
  • Manage the end-to-end accounting cycle including accounts payable accounts receivable payroll fixed assets and general ledger operations
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements in Malaysia
  • Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies to enhance accuracy transparency and risk mitigation
  • Support budgeting forecasting and variance analysis to inform strategic decision-making
  • Implement and optimize accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Provide financial insights and management reports to senior leadership to support business performance evaluation


Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; CPA ACCA or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred
  • 25 years of progressive experience in accounting management preferably within a multinational or mid-sized organization in Malaysia
  • Proven experience in financial reporting statutory compliance and audit coordination under MFRS and IFRS
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP Oracle QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian tax laws including income tax GST and withholding tax regulations
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in team management mentorship and performance evaluation
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of integrity accountability and time management
