Job Summary

Lead and supervise a team of accountants providing guidance performance feedback and professional development opportunities
Oversee the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Ensure timely and accurate closing of books reconciliations and audit readiness across all business units
Manage the end-to-end accounting cycle including accounts payable accounts receivable payroll fixed assets and general ledger operations
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements in Malaysia
Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies to enhance accuracy transparency and risk mitigation
Support budgeting forecasting and variance analysis to inform strategic decision-making
Implement and optimize accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and scalability
Provide financial insights and management reports to senior leadership to support business performance evaluation

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; CPA ACCA or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred
25 years of progressive experience in accounting management preferably within a multinational or mid-sized organization in Malaysia
Proven experience in financial reporting statutory compliance and audit coordination under MFRS and IFRS
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP Oracle QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills
Strong understanding of Malaysian tax laws including income tax GST and withholding tax regulations
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly
Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in team management mentorship and performance evaluation
Detail-oriented with a high level of integrity accountability and time management
