Job Summary
Requirements
- Monitor and manage critically ill patients using advanced medical equipment (e.g. ventilators infusion pumps cardiac monitors).
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
- Perform frequent assessments (vital signs neurological checks etc.).
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and implement care.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
- Respond promptly to emergencies (e.g. code blue situations).
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Ensure infection control and sterile procedures are strictly followed.
- Monitor vital signs and overall condition of newborns.
- Provide feeding (breastfeeding support bottle feeding or tube feeding).
- Assist in neonatal resuscitation and emergency care.
- Administer medications and vaccines as prescribed.
Educate and support new parents on infant care breastfeeding and hygiene. - Maintain accurate records of newborn status and care provided.
- Ensure a clean safe and nurturing environment.
- Collaborate with pediatricians and neonatologists in the care of high-risk infants.
- Perform triage to prioritize patients based on urgency.
- Provide first aid and emergency care (e.g. CPR wound dressing stabilizing fractures).
- Assist in procedures like suturing catheterization and IV insertion.
- Administer medications and monitor for reactions.
- Coordinate with physicians paramedics and other emergency personnel.
- Prepare patients for surgery or transfer to other units.
- Document assessments interventions and outcomes accurately.
- Maintain composure and efficiency in high-pressure situations.
