Install and replace various items on rental units including locks doors windows screens cabinets plumbing fixtures electrical fixtures heating and cooling equipment thermostats water heaters wall coverings floor covering and roof coverings. Paint interior and exterior of units clean maintenance shop alert supervisor to the need for complex repairs perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and help in other areas where staffing shortages exist. Work safely and avoid accidents to self and equipment communicate effectively (verbal and written) complete all assignment accurately and timely maintain successful working relationships with co-workers and tenants analyze and solve problems in a timely manner assure accuracy in problem resolution use good independent judgment and initiative. Requirements Working knowledge and skills of electrical (testing purposes) plumbing painting wall repairs carpentry installation of vinyl and carpet replace and removal of windows and minor operative of furnaces. High school diploma or equivalent 2-years of related experience minimum supervision and possess a valid Oregon drivers license.
