Job Summary
The fabricatoroperatesfabricating machines such aswelders plasma cutterscutoff sawsdrillpresses forming machines and punches that cutshapeand bend metal plates sheetstubesand structures by performing the following duties.
- Assistinthe fabricationof hydraulic power units.
- Operate various shop equipment (drill press band saw MIG Welder grinders hand toolsetc.)
- Perform general assembly and kitting of fluid power systems and components.
- Bend hydraulic tubing and make hydraulic hoses per spec.
- Read and interpret fluid power and electrical schematics.
- Operate hydraulic test stand and other test equipment for quality control.
- Paint pack and ship hydraulic components and complete any necessary paperwork.
- Properly handle all waste materials.
- Perform other assignmentsatthe direction of departmental supervision.
- Obey all safety rules and perform housekeeping functions asrequired
- Participate in continuous improvement through training and associate development.
- Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines dies or workpieces.
- Operates any equipment needed to performthe job.
