As aSenior Accountant (m/f/d) youll be a key player in our accounting team taking ownership of critical financial tasks while collaborating across departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Youll also be the go-to expert for both internal and external audits helping us maintain compliance and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
As aSenior Accountant (m/f/d) youll be a key player in our accounting team taking ownership of critical financial tasks while collaborating across departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Youll also be the go-to expert for both internal and external audits helping us maintain compliance and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently prepare monthly and annual financial statements ( for group and external purposes) with precision and attention to detail according to IFRS and HGB.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of VAT returns advance VAT returns recapitulative statements and other tax returns.
- Serve as the key contact for our external Tax consultants.
- Take a proactive role in internal and cross-departmental projects providing your accounting expertise to help drive company initiatives.
- Support day-to-day accounting tasks contributing to the smooth operation of financial processes.
- Prepare detailed reports and analyses and respond to ad hoc financial inquiries from various stakeholders.
- Support and own the accounting procedures for the smooth operation of the sale of receivables via asset backed securities.
- Be responsible for the correct accounting of monthly and yearly payroll bookings as well as correct and timely payout.
- Serve as the key contact for internal and external audit-related queries ensuring transparency and thoroughness.
- Support the future ERP implementation and migration to other new software from an accounting and tax perspective.
Thats What You Bring Along
- Fluency in German and excellent command of English ensuring clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- A completed commercial apprenticeship or training as an Accountant or an equivalent qualification; the qualification of Bilanzbuchhalter is an added advantage.
- Several years (minium of 5 years) of experience in accounting with additional exposure to project management being a plus.
- Strong knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting principles combined with expertise in SAP and MS Office.
- Ideally you have experience with Navision and a good understanding of German VAT law and other tax laws.
- Passion for accounting and a commitment to contributing to a fast-growing company with enthusiasm and dedication.
- A collaborative team-oriented attitude along with the ability to work independently and take ownership of your tasks.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement service orientation and going the extra mile to enhance your skills.
