About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Civil Engineer with 13 years experience to join our growing civil engineering team. The successful candidate will gain hands-on exposure to the design analysis and implementation of structures and road infrastructure projects across South Africa.
This role is ideal for an early-career engineer looking to build strong technical skills while working under the mentorship of senior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the design and detailing of civil structures including bridges culverts retaining walls and related infrastructure
- Support the planning design and rehabilitation of roads including geometric design pavement design and drainage
- Prepare engineering calculations drawings and technical reports
- Use design software and CAD tools (e.g. AutoCAD Civil 3D Prokon or similar)
- Assist with site inspections surveys and contractor liaison
- Ensure designs comply with South African standards and codes (e.g. SANRAL TMH SANS)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget

Minimum Requirements
- BEng / BSc in Civil Engineering
- 13 years post-graduate experience in civil engineering with exposure to structures and/or roads
- Working knowledge of civil engineering design principles
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D and structural software advantageous)
- Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Advantageous
- Candidate or eligibility for ECSA registration (Candidate Engineer Pr Eng track)
- Experience on SANRAL municipal or provincial infrastructure projects
- Site experience and contractor coordination
