About the Job
We are looking for a Release Lead to support frequent production releases in an Agile environment. This role is focused on hands-on release coordination and execution ensuring multiple releases per week are delivered safely predictably and with minimal disruption.
You will work closely with respective Scrum Masters of delivery teams to keep releases flowing smoothly aligned to sprint goals and quality expectations. This is a practical delivery-oriented role suited for someone who enjoys operational ownership consistency and improving how releases run day to day.
Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute multiple production releases per week across several Agile teams
- Work with Scrum Masters and QA teams to align releases with sprint commitments
- Maintain release calendars deployment schedules and sequencing for frequent releases
- Support release readiness activities system demos go/no-go checkpoints and post-release reviews
- Partner with QA teams to ensure testing is complete regression coverage is adequate performance testing and all quality criteria are met prior to release
- Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines used for build test and deployment activities
- Assist with standard deployment approaches such as blue-green canary and rolling deployments
- Track cross-team dependencies risks and environment considerations impacting release flow
- Support hotfixes and patch releases while following established release processes
- Maintain release documentation runbooks and standard operating procedures
- Contribute to incremental improvements in release tooling automation and team collaboration
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 5 - 7 years of experience in managing and coordinating Releases across cross-functional teams.
- Experience taking ownership for stable predictable release cadences in production environments multiple releases per week
- Hands-on experience coordinating releases across multiple Agile teams
- Working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab CI or Azure DevOps
- Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and ceremonies (sprint planning reviews retrospectives)
- Experience collaborating with QA teams on test readiness and release sign-off
- Experience using Jira Boards or similar delivery tracking tools
- Hands-on experience with Git-based version control and common branching strategies
- Exposure to at least one major cloud platform (AWS Azure or GCP)
- Clear practical communication skills and comfort working with delivery teams
- Basic scripting or automation experience using Python Bash or PowerShell
- Exposure to test automation frameworks (API or UI)
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes in CI/CD pipelines

Salary Range: $90000 to $100000 CAD/ year
The final compensation offered will depend on local market conditions and geographic location as well as job-related factors such as the candidates knowledge skills qualifications relevant experience and education/training. Compensation may also include additional components such as benefits and/or other incentives where accordance with new employment standards requirements we retain copies of this job posting and applicant information for three (3) years after the posting is removed.
