Position: Assistant Manager CSR / Host Community Relations
Industry: Fertilizer / Petrochemical / Oil & Gas / Power / Heavy Industry
Location: Port Harcourt
Key Responsibilities (Summary):
Manage host community relations to support uninterrupted plant jetty and logistics operations
Interface with community leaders youth groups and development committees
Prevent and resolve community-related conflicts and access disruptions
Support implementation of CSR and community development projects
Coordinate community employment frameworks in collaboration with HR
Monitor community sentiments and provide early-warning risk intelligence
Support compliance with host community regulatory and statutory obligations
Prepare reports incident briefs and stakeholder engagement documentation
Requirements
Qualification & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Social Sciences Community Development Public Administration Law or related fields
1015 years relevant experience in CSR community relations or stakeholder management
Prior experience in industrial or host-community-sensitive environments is mandatory
Preferred Certifications:
CSR / Sustainability / ESG (GRI ISO 26000 or equivalent)
Conflict Management / Mediation / ADR
HSE Certification (NEBOSH IGC)
Key Competencies:
Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
Conflict resolution and diplomacy
Excellent communication and reporting ability
Ability to operate calmly under pressure
