Job Summary

Position Summary

The Fabricator performs required operations to fabricate product according to plans and specifications. They are responsible for building custom parts to meet customer specifications requiring a general knowledge of all manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Fabricate products according to specifications
Perform required operations to fabricate product as specified.
Shear and Brake custom parts to customer specifications.
Ability to read custom part drawing.
Understanding a bend allowances.
Verify that the proper materials are provided to the customer.
Verify that materials are supplied in proper quantities and proper lengths.
Check materials to ensure that quality standards are met and maintained.
Ensure that the materials are marked with the proper mark numbers if the mark numbers are required.
Regular and routine attendance is required

Qualifications (Skills & Knowledge)

Knowledge of fabrication techniques and tools.
Able to read and properly interpret shop prints
Able to communicate effectively and professionally with team members and customers verbally and in writing.
Able to complete work accurately and on time.
Able to work collaboratively with direct team members or across departments and work independently as needed.
Able to properly utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Candidates who apply for positions requiring the use of a lift truck must be able to obtain certification and safely operate a lift truck.

Education

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience

Level I

0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Work Environment

Physical Conditions:
- Production: This position works in a production facility and is regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and utilize the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) i.e.: eye/face protection hearing protection steel toes etc.

Location:
- In-office: This role is located at our office in Wichita Kansas. Employees must be present at the office and available to perform the essential functions of their jobs whenever they are scheduled to work.

Other Requirements

Candidates who receive an offer of employment must successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
Must have finger dexterity
Must be able to reach bend kneel and crouch occasionally
Must be able to safely lift 40 pounds
