The NC Department of Administration is the business manager for North Carolina state government. The department oversees Government Operations such as building construction purchasing and contracting for goods and services maintaining facilities managing state vehicles acquiring and disposing of real property and operating auxiliary services such as courier mail delivery and the sale of state and federal surplus property. Additionally the department manages many of the states advocacy programs that provide assistance and services to diverse segments of the states population that have been traditionally underserved.

DOA serves as the business manager for state government overseeing government operations inclusive of building construction purchasing and contracting for goods and services managing state vehicles acquiring and disposing of real property as well as operating auxiliary services such as courier mail and sale of state and federal surplus property. Additionally the department provides facility maintenance services and advocacy programs. Facility services include the maintenance of state-owned and leased buildings and ground keeping. The departments advocacy programs provide support assistance and services to diverse segments of the states population that have been traditionally underserved. Within its role as a service provider to other state agencies the Department of Administration provides staff support to several boards and commissions which advocate for the special needs of North Carolinas citizens.
Minimum Education and Experience

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two (2) years of experience related to the area of assignment or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
