Job Summary
Responsibilities & Qualifications
TheSenior Technical Consultantprovides expert technical knowledge analysis and guidance on highly specialized applications and operational environments. This role supports complex system analysis design integration documentation and implementation delivering recommendations for improvements optimization and development efforts. The position requiresdeepunderstanding of technical principles advanced mathematical methods and practical experience with both emerging and legacy technologies in IT engineering and scientific applications.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Analysis & Problem Solving
Conduct high-level functional systems analysis and provide expert recommendations on moderately complex technical problems.
Apply advanced mathematical principles engineering methods and functionalexpertiseto develop automated solutions for narrowly defined technical challenges.
Assistsenior consultants with analysis evaluation and formulation of recommendations for system improvements optimization development and maintenance.
Systems Design & Implementation Guidance
Provide design integration and documentation support for information systems networking telecommunications automation and communications protocols.
Advise onsoftware development lifecycle management modeling and simulation and system architecture.
Ensure recommendations align with task order requirements operational goals and industry best practices.
Specialized Expertise & Technology Application
Utilize technical knowledge across risk management electronic analysis and emerging IT technologies to inform system solutions.
Maintainproficiencyin both current and legacy technologies relevant to the functional area.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of technical solutions in alignment with organizationalobjectives.
Collaboration & Advisory Support
Work closely with other senior consultants to evaluate complex systemsidentifyoptimization opportunities and develop actionable recommendations.
Support the preparation of technical documentation proposals and strategic recommendations for system improvements.
Act as a subject-matter expert in highly specialized IT and engineering domains for both internal teams and external clients.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or a related field (Masterspreferred).
Extensive experience in IT software development systems architecture and/or telecommunications.
Provenexpertisein analyzing and solving highly specialized technical problems.
Knowledge of software development methodologies lifecycle management and modeling and simulation.
Strong analytical mathematical and problem-solving skills.
Must be available to be onsite at the USPTO office in Arlington VA within 48 hours of customer request
Preferred
Experience withrisk management electronic analysis and communications protocols.
Familiarity with both emerging and legacy technologiesrelevantto task requirements.
Experience with government IT contracts
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.

- Work Schedule:Day shift Monday Friday. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
