Job Summary
New England Mechanical Services is currently seeking an experienced Lead Operations/Maintenance Technician for a large sophisticated customer in the Marlborough MA area.
This position is on-site first shift Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
The primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate and provide various types of support for the onsite service technicians and assure that service calls and preventative maintenance are organized and performed safely and on time by scheduling with the customer.
This position is suited to a well-rounded HVAC technician (5 years preferred) who can operate independently think on their feet and take ownership of our clients needs.
A company vehicle HVAC equipment gas card cell phone uniforms and all PPE is provided.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Include but not limited to the following.
Coordinating preventive maintenance on all equipment including and not limited to heating and ventilating pumps fans sterilizers cage washers boilers chillers and refrigeration equipment.
Keep trade licenses and certifications current. Follow and comply with the rules and regulations of section 608 of the clean air act and occupational safety regulations mandated by federal state and local governments.
Attend all safety training provided and/or sponsored by NEMSI.
Follow all NEMSI safety policies procedures and use personal protective equipment when performing installation and/or servicing HVAC systems.
Interact with the client in a professional and courteous manner while maintaining a clean and neat appearance.
Flexible to work overtime and weekends as demand requires.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Must hold a current Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License.
- EPA 608 Universal required.
- Commercial HVAC systems experience and knowledge
- Must have a clean driving record
- BMS or Automation experience is a plus but not required.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; talk hear smell and lift set-up and climb ladders as well as stairways. The employee is frequently required to stand and occasionally sit. The employee must regularly lift and /or move various weight ranges such as 0-50 lbs. frequently 51-100 lbs. occasionally and 101 plus seldom. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Maintain a neat and clean appearance and utilize all protective equipment provided and as required.

Geographic Disclosure
Salary range $40.85-$50.00 per hour plus benefits.
Overtime is available.
