Job Summary

The Southern Berkshire Regional School District has a vacancy for a District Grants Coordinator / Accounts Payable/ Central Office Assistant. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:Minimum Qualifications: Strong computer skills including MS Word Excel Infinite Visions - Accounting/Personnel ProgramKnowledge of Federal and State grantsExcellent communication and organizational skillsAccounting experience preferredDuties:A)Grants:Assist program/grant managers with preparation of grant applications including new program developmentMonitor grant budgets and expensesReview purchase orders to ensure that purchase falls within grant parametersPrepare and submit requests for funds from the state/grant organizationKeep program/grant managers and business administrator informed of financial and programmatic status of grantsSet up grant accounts and enter grant budgets in Infinite Visions accounting computer programMaintain detailed records for filing and accounting for federal state and private grantsDeposit Checks and Cash into District bank accountsB)Accounts Payable:Input all invoices for bi-weekly warrants; print checks; assemble invoices and checks for mailingProcess invoices and obtain signature form appropriate individual/departmentAssist staff and vendors with purchase orders and respond to invoice inquiriesPrepare monthly P-Card warrants and account for all district P-Card chargesSubmit orders to Amazon and Staples for all district employeesAssist with yearly district auditGenerate 1099s every yearC)Central Office:Use computer software applications to prepare tables charts spreadsheets memos reports as requiredCompose correspondencePerform special projects as requiredPrepare for printing updates and distribution of district reports and other publications pertaining to business operationsPrepare bid documents and advertisements; participate in bidding processCoordinate student transportation (and billing) needs for the district including reserving vans and buses for field tripHandle all district tax exempt issuesReception by phone or in person; refer messages and respond to routine telephone inquiriesSort incoming mail faxes and courier deliveries for distributionMonitor community entrance; admit visitors in accordance with district policyMonitor departmental materials and supplies and order as neededSalary: $65000/per year12-month 8 hours per day position.
