Principal Pre-Sales Solutions Architect (Remote)

Deepwatch is seeking a high-energy experienced presales Solutions Architect. This individual will report to the CRO and play a key role in driving our continued growth nationally helping our customers evolve and mature their security practices adding instant value to their security programs. The Solutions Architect will work closely with our sales team and executives. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced evolving startup environment bringing passionate selling support to advance innovative solutions and technologies to CEOs CISOs CIOs CTOs and other security team members.

In this role youll get to:

  • Represent Deepwatchs full portfolio of subscription and services offerings
  • Support Account Executives in providing consulting into Deepwatch services
  • Understand and interpret client business and technical requirements to translate product benefit across all types of buyers and influencers
  • Provide scoping and calculation of services costs
  • Assist with new business pursuits by generating proposals RFP responses and other efforts within the sales process with urgency
  • Provide strategic consulting to customers on how to mature and streamline cybersecurity operations and programs
  • Learn new and emerging technologies including related certifications
  • Attend industry trade shows and security related conferences in support of activities
  • Remain current with the evolving threat landscape information security news techniques and trends
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while managing expectations and project milestones
  • Leverage exceptional communications skills to lead business and technical presentations demonstrations and conversations with C-level audiences across major enterprise accounts and across channel partner teams
  • Set and manage expectations with senior stake-holders and team members
  • Provide technical support throughout the sales process
  • Manage POCs where applicable
  • Research and position Deepwatch solutions versus competitors
  • Provide input into overall company strategy and product roadmap
  • Generate content for digital marketing and industry thought leadership

To be successful in this role youll need:

  • Proven experience in sales engineering/solutions architecture experience preferably within the MDR industry and threat intelligence industries
  • Proven experience information security experience with a fundamental understanding of software network and cloud architectures
  • Familiarity with advanced data management concepts including ETL long term data storage and business intelligence
  • Information security consulting and sales support and/or engineering and architecture experience
  • A willingness to train others and lead engagement teams
  • Experience responding to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) in a dynamic fashion
  • To develop technical champions outside of regularly scheduled sales calls
  • To possess experience managing security programs and operations including managing security solutions such as managed SIEM MDR EDR VM and FW infrastructure
  • To be an agile problem solver who builds collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams and prioritizes parallel tasks efficiently
  • To be familiar with operational and technical experience with Splunk Cloud Azure Sentinel Google SecOps and other leading SIEM providers
  • To be familiar with IT service management tools including ServiceNow and JIRA
  • Articulate the fundamentals of MITRE ATT&CK CIS and NIST cybersecurity framework
    • Demonstrate proficiency in:
    • Threat intelligence integrations
    • Security automation and orchestration deployment
    • Microsoft Defender CrowdStrike Falcon Platform and SentinelOne EDR tools
    • Firewall and Intrusion Detection and Prevention products and operations
    • Incident response process maturity
    • Tenable vulnerability management products/deployments
    • Deploying systems to Amazon Web Services Azure and GCP

Statutory Pay Disclosure

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $200000- $240000 per annum commission stock options benefits. This role is a 80/20 base/commission split with anticipated OTE $250000 - $300000 per annum. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location work experience education and/or skill level
