Key Responsibilities:
- Perform fibre splicing termination and testing using OTDRs power meters and related tools.
- Connect FTTH and FTTB clients to the GPON network.
- Diagnose and repair faults to ensure optimal fibre network performance.
- Use network designs schematics and technical drawings to complete accurate installations.
- Maintain detailed records of splicing work test results and submit asbuilt documents.
- Endtoend enterprise linkbuilding experience is highly valued.
- Collaborate with project managers engineers and technicians to meet deadlines and project goals.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- 3 years experience in fibre optic splicing installation and testing.
- Technical certifications (FOA and CFOT) preferred. High School Diploma required.
- Proficient with OTDRs power meters and fusion splicers.
- Strong knowledge of fibre standards specs and best practices.
- Experience with underground and aerial installation techniques.
- Able to work at heights outdoors in confined spaces and lift heavy equipment.
- Valid drivers licence reliable transport flexible availability and strong problemsolving skills.
