Role Purpose
The Scrum Master / Project Manager is a hybrid delivery leadership role responsible for the successful endtoend delivery of digital and technology projects within Version 1.
The role combines:
- Scrum Master accountabilities enabling Agile teams to perform at their best through effective facilitation coaching and continuous improvement.
- Project Management accountabilities providing delivery governance planning control and stakeholder assurance in line with Version 1 and customer expectations.
This role is particularly suited to Agile delivery engagements operating within enterprise or public sector governance environments.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Delivery & Scrum Master Responsibilities
- Act as Scrum Master for one or more Agile delivery teams.
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Daily Standups Sprint Planning Sprint Reviews / Show & Tell Retrospectives and Backlog Refinement.
- Coach teams and stakeholders in Agile values principles and best practices.
- Identify manage and remove impediments to team progress.
- Promote continuous improvement through datadriven retrospectives and actionable outcomes.
- Work closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts to ensure a clear prioritised and wellrefined backlog.
- Protect the integrity of Agile processes while pragmatically operating within hybrid delivery models where required.
Project Management & Governance Responsibilities
- Work with the Project Owner / Sponsor to confirm project scope objectives and business justification.
- Develop and maintain delivery artefacts including:
- Project Initiation Document (PID)
- Integrated delivery plans and milestones
- Resource and capacity plans
- RAID logs (Risks Assumptions Issues Dependencies)
- Status reports and delivery dashboards
- Establish and operate effective project governance structures.
- Monitor and control delivery against agreed time cost scope and quality constraints.
- Proactively manage delivery risks and issues escalating where appropriate with clear mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with Version 1 delivery standards and customer governance requirements.
Stakeholder & Customer Management
- Act as a primary delivery point of contact for customer stakeholders.
- Provide transparent accurate and timely reporting on delivery progress and outcomes.
- Manage stakeholder expectations through clear communication and evidencebased decision support.
- Build trusted relationships that reinforce Version 1s reputation for quality delivery and customer focus.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Foster a highperforming collaborative and psychologically safe team environment.
- Support onboarding and integration of new team members.
- Encourage crossfunctional collaboration across engineering QA architecture and business roles.
- Contribute to Version 1 delivery communities of practice and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications :
Skills Knowledge & Experience
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience in a Scrum Master Project Manager or hybrid Agile delivery role.
- Strong practical knowledge of Agile / Scrum frameworks and ceremonies.
- Experience delivering complex digital or technology projects.
- Demonstrable experience managing project governance RAID and delivery reporting.
- Excellent facilitation communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in clientfacing delivery environments.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience delivering projects in public sector or regulated environments.
- Professional certification such as Scrum Master (PSM CSM) and/or Project Management (PRINCE2 PMP).
- Experience operating within hybrid Agile / Waterfall delivery models.
- Familiarity with Microsoftcentric technology environments.
