Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to serve in a Development Managerstyle role overseeing design-build project teams from concept through construction. This position bridges engineering development and constructionideal for a civil engineer who enjoys leadership coordination and big-picture project delivery.
Youll act as the technical and managerial point person ensuring projects are designed efficiently permitted correctly and constructed in alignment with scope schedule and budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage design-build project teams including civil engineers architects consultants and contractors
- Oversee site development design (grading drainage utilities roadway and infrastructure)
- Coordinate project planning from entitlement and permitting through construction completion
- Serve as owners representative and internal development lead on assigned projects
- Review and guide design documents to ensure constructability cost efficiency and code compliance
- Manage schedules budgets and risk throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate with municipalities regulatory agencies and utility providers
- Support value engineering efforts and resolve design or construction challenges
- Ensure alignment between design intent and field execution
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (required)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or ability to obtain)
- 5 years of experience in civil engineering land development or design-build construction
- Strong understanding of site development infrastructure and permitting processes
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication organization and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with developers contractors and public agencies
