Mammography Technologist - BMC - Part-time

Position Highlights:

Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented individual to join us as aMammography Technologist at our Bellevue Medical Center location.

  • Part Time / 20 hours benefit eligible

  • On call required

Mammography Technologist
Provide excellent diagnostic and mammography images and patient care to assure a high level of quality care and service to patients and customers in the radiology department.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited program in radiology required.

  • Minimum of 40 hours of mammography training required.

  • Minimum of five mammography continuing education units (CEUs) per year required to meet Mammography Quality Standards Assurance Act requirements.

  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.

  • State of Nebraska license required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon completion of unit orientation required must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1 2023 or later).

  • Mammography certification from ARRT required within one year of hire or transfer date required.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Digital mammography training preferred.

  • Ability to manage and interact with patients and families of all age groups preferred.

  • Experience with multi-dimensional medical imaging systems medication infusion pumps vacuum pumps oxygen bottle patient transportation device film processors and quality control equipment preferred.

  • Experience with radiology information system mammography tracking system and stereo-tatic breast preferred.

  • Mammography certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.
