Consumers Credit Union (CCU) is looking for a HRIS and Payroll Specialist to manage and optimize our HRIS including the delivery of payroll to the organization.
This position is hybrid with 2-3 days onsite at our corporate office in Lake Forest IL. Local Northern Illinois/Southeastern Wisconsin candidates only.
About the Role
As the HRIS & Payroll Specialist youll collaborate with Accounting Finance and Human Resources to deliver operational excellence across payroll and the HRIS while supporting high-impact initiatives such as system enhancements integrations and mergers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end biweekly payroll processing ensuring accuracy timeliness and compliance with all regulatory and internal standards
- Assist with payroll and benefits audits and reconciliations to ensure compliance data integrity and adherence to internal controls
- Configure maintain and optimize UKG Pro modules across the employee lifecycle including benefits enrollment performance and merit cycles and engagement surveys
- Drive HRIS optimization efforts to enhance functionality and user experience including self-service tools and dashboards
- Serve as an HRIS subject matter expert training HR staff supporting troubleshooting and acting as a point of contact as needed
- Produce and maintain standard and ad hoc reports to support business needs and regulatory requirements (e.g. ACA EEO Fair Pay audit requests)
- Conduct regular audits of HRIS data payroll deductions and system changes to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Support Total Rewards initiatives including compensation surveys incentive administration and benefits/wellness program reporting
- Manage benefit and payroll file feeds and system integrations in partnership with internal teams and external vendors
- Respond to internal and external inquiries related to HRIS payroll and benefits with a high level of service and expertise
What Were Looking For
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business or closely related field
- 3 years of experience in Human Resources with experience processing payroll for a large diverse workforce with accuracy and compliance
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
- Advanced expertise in Human Resource Information Systems preferably UKG Pro with the ability to configure optimize and troubleshoot modules while supporting end users
- Technically curious with a strong understanding of system processes and the impact of data changes on employees and stakeholders
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering timely practical solutions to payroll and HRIS inquiries. Ability to investigate complex payroll and HRIS issues
- Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy quality control and providing outstanding user experiences
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $61470-$92206 per year. This role is eligible for an annual bonus opportunity. A specific salary offer considers factors including but not limited to skill sets experience and training licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
