AFS Group is an independent European multi-asset class broker with over 175 years of experience headquartered in Amsterdam (Beursplein 5) and with an office in New York. We employ 180 professionals across diverse nationalities with ambitious growth plans to better serve clients in dynamic financial markets. As a professional intermediary we provide brokerage and advisory services to over 2500 clients worldwide including financial institutions corporates governments and supranational agencies in areas like Fixed Income Interest Rates Energy/Environmental commodities and more.

The Corporate & Sovereign Desk part of our Interest Rates Division (45 specialists in Money & Capital Markets and Fixed Income) focuses on brokerage and execution in corporate bonds (issued by companies and financial institutions) and sovereign/government bonds including Treasury Bills Medium Term Notes Structured Bonds and Private Placements. We handle both primary and secondary market transactions delivering liquidity market insights and efficient solutions to public sector corporate banking and institutional clients.

Were seeking talented (or aspiring) brokers to build and expand relationships with corporates governments and financial institutions leveraging our core offerings and collaborative network. With untapped opportunities in the European market we value commercial talents with diverse linguistic skills and a passion for the financial sector in a broking environment.

In this role you will be focusing on:

Identify clients needs facilitate and close transactions and proactively act to achieve best-in-market customer satisfaction.
Expanding and managing the client portfolio with a focus on new business and high potential markets.
Actively looking for new and cross-selling opportunities within AFS Group departments.
Conduct market research where you will research and analyze market trends technological advancements potential clients and their industry trends to help inform business decisions.
Participation in business events fairs and other occasions.
Bachelors degree
Fluently English and French or German other languages are a big plus.
Eager energetic curious and proactive by nature.
You are steady and not afraid to (cold) call (potential) clients and go on sale trips.
Accurate excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Team player deal maker and winners mentality
Good knowledge of financial products and the money market is a plus.
Candidates with experience in broking trading or sales roles are preferred.
Candidates with a network in the financial and/or banking industry are also a plus.
