POSITION OVERVIEW

YWCA Greater Los Angeles (GLA) is looking for an experienced strategic and passionate Chief Development Officer (CDO) to lead our fundraising efforts and secure transformational investments that support equity justice and empowerment for women and communities
across LA.

As a member of our Executive Leadership Team the CDO will drive our revenue strategy expand philanthropic partnerships and lead a talented development team to advance the goals of our Strategic Plan.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute a multi-year fundraising plan aligned with organizational priorities.
• Secure major gifts ($250K$1M) foundation and corporate grants and high-impact annual gifts.
• Lead our new signature event YHER (Honor Elevate Respect) and other donor-focused experiences.
• Expand the Justice For Her Giving Circle to 100 annual contributors.
• Oversee all aspects of grants management donor relations and stewardship.
• Build and coach a high-performing fundraising team.
• Partner with the CEO and Board to deepen donor relationships and drive transformational giving.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 10 years of progressive nonprofit fundraising leadership.
• Proven success in securing major gifts and managing complex fundraising strategies.
• Expertise in grant writing and donor engagement.
• Strong communication skills (natural storyteller).
• A strategic data-informed mindset.
• Commitment to social justice equity and the YWCA mission.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The salary range for the Chief Development Officer position is $152692 - $175000.
