Job Summary
Were looking for a senior Ruby on Rails engineer in LATAM to support a high-priority Rails application. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working in established codebases solving real production problems and making meaningful improvements that the team will feel immediately.
Youll be trusted to jump in quickly bring calm and clarity to complex Rails logic and help stabilize and improve critical parts of the system.
What Youll Do
Work hands-on in a mature Ruby on Rails application running on Heroku
Improve and refactor existing Rails logic to increase stability and maintainability
Tackle high-impact technical challenges that are slowing the team down
Help reduce technical debt in critical areas of the codebase
Collaborate closely with existing engineers to unblock progress
Make safe well-tested changes with production reliability in mind
Qualifications :
- 810 years of professional experience working with Ruby on Rails
Strong experience in large mature or legacy Rails applications
Deep understanding of Rails conventions ActiveRecord and common Rails patterns
Confident debugging and problem-solving skills in real-world codebases
Experience deploying or supporting Rails apps on Heroku
Ability to ramp up quickly and start delivering meaningful impact quickly
Clear thoughtful communicator who works well with distributed teams
