Job Summary
What Youll Do:
As a Senior Software Engineer on our Avatar Identity engineering team you will build experiences on Roblox to facilitate the building and customization of player avatars. The avatar is core to every players experience on Roblox and youll have a front-row seat in building a new way to customize thatll be used by the millions of players that customize their avatar every day.
You Will:
- Core responsibility: develop new user-facing experiences on Roblox that allow players to customize their avatars in new and exciting ways
- As needed: add new features to the Roblox app (Luau/React) and build upon the game APIs used by third-party developers to customize player avatars (C)
- Be an active participant in the direction and development of the teams roadmap & strategy
- Collaborate closely with other engineers and cross-functional partners (product design art) in the Avatar and Marketplace teams
You Have:
- A track record of quality game(s) on the Roblox platform (very strong plus)
- Roblox / Luau development experience (strong plus). Alternately experience in other game engineers such as Godot / Unity / Unreal / etc. is a plus
- 3 years of professional software development experience
- Experience working with cross-functional partners including Producers & 3D Artists
- C experience (a plus but not required)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
