Job Summary

Ergon Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated SAP/4HANA Trainer. This role is responsible for developing and delivering high-quality learning solutions equipping planning production warehousing and logistics teams to operate effectively within the SAP S/4HANA environment. This individual will lead activities of other role specific trainers supporting Project Polaris implementation. This position plays a critical part in enabling successful adoption of end-to-end Plan-to-Ship processes including demand and supply planning MRP production execution quality checks inventory management warehouse operations and outbound shipment activities. This includes working closely with Program Management Office IT and Change Management teams to ensure users clearly understand system functionality process flow compliance requirements and operational impacts. The individual contributes directly to transformation readiness go-live stabilization and ongoing performance improvement across operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Training Development & Delivery
  • Design and deliver role-based training for planning production quality inventory warehouse and shipping functions.
  • Develop instructional materials including simulations scenario-based exercises job aids and quick reference guides.
  • Facilitate hands-on sessions illustrating how planning impacts downstream execution.
  • Prepare business unit trainers through train-the-trainer program to assist with development of training.
  • Oversee and provide feedback to business unit trainers during training development & delivery.
  • Deliver Instructor-Led Training (ILT) Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) and blended learning aligned to operational roles.
  1. Process & System Expertise
  • Maintain deep understanding of P2S processes: planning MRP production execution quality checks IM/WM/EWM movements and outbound delivery.
  • Collaborate with functional experts to understand system configuration and integration.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) through test script validation scenario facilitation and training issue tracking.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement & Change Support
  • Partner with supply chain and operations leaders to assess learning needs and readiness.
  • Provide insights into adoption risks process gaps and performance improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate subject matter experts (SMEs) and super users during training development and delivery.
  • Contribute to communication and readiness activities tied to transformation efforts.
  1. Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement
  • Evaluate learning effectiveness using assessments and performance feedback.
  • Update training materials to reflect system enhancements and evolving best practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation aligned with process and compliance expectations.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 20 years of experience in planning manufacturing logistics or warehousing or 10 years experience with a bachelors degree in supply chain Operations Business Industrial Engineering Education or related field.
  • 10 years of SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA training experience in planning manufacturing logistics or warehousing.
  • Working knowledge of PP MM/IM EWM/WM SD modules.
  • Experience designing ILT VILT simulations and performance support content.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills.
  • Ability to use feedback and performance data to improve training.

Desired Qualifications:

  • SAP certification or formal training in PP MM EWM or SD.
  • Experience with SAP transformations cutovers or go-lives.
  • Familiarity with forecasting tools MRP logic and warehouse optimization.
  • Experience with SAP Enable Now WalkMe or similar tools.
  • Experience with process documentation and UAT support.
  • Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
