Job Summary
ibis Astana is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team in Astana Kazakhstan. As the Financial Controller you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of our hotel and driving financial performance.
- Manage all aspects of the hotels financial operations including budgeting forecasting and financial reporting
- Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize revenue and control costs
- Oversee the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements
- Analyze financial data to identify trends opportunities and potential risks
- Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets
- Manage cash flow and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions
- Supervise and mentor the finance team promoting professional development and efficiency
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls to safeguard company assets
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the General Manager and corporate leadership
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management preferably in the hospitality industry
- Strong proficiency in financial analysis budgeting and forecasting
- Expert knowledge of accounting software (e.g. SAP Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- In-depth understanding of hospitality industry financial practices and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Kazakh or Russian is a plus
